  Description

Welcome

G’day and a warm welcome from your "Mansfield" Cottage Hosts, Rick & Jill Perram.

When are we available?  Just click on our 'Availability Calendar' under the "Links" Section below, you can even Book through this Link!

Please accept our invitation to come and share the “Magic Of Mansfield”, we cater for all;
  • Lovers seeking the peace & tranquillity
  • Families looking to bond with quality time
  • Small Groups after action and excitement or just a break

"Mansfield" is just 3 hours North of Sydney, 1 & 1/2 hours North of Newcastle, all on tar sealed roads.

We are only 30 mins from the Barrington Tops World Heritage Wilderness.

The “Mansfield” property has been owned and operated by four generations of the Perram Family, originally operating as a Dairy and Beef Farm, from the 1800s. On display at “Mansfield”, is a Christmas card from my Great Grandfather & Great Grandmother for Christmas 1913.

In September 2002, The “Mansfield” Cottage was converted into Holiday Accommodation and enjoys a very successful role in the local tourism industry.

The comfortable, traditional, 3 bedroom farmhouse cottage is located in the picturesque Barrington River Valley and just 150m from the Barrington River. This river is well know for it's canoeing, swimming, fishing and tubeing activities, as well as a great location for bird & fauna watching - seeking the shy and elusive platypus is very popular.

Booked guests have sole use of the cottage and surroundings.

Modern conveniences (sorry no dishwasher or clothes dryer), together with reverse cycle airconditioning and slow combustion fire ensure your all season comfort.

We comfortably sleep 7 people (2 x 2 Doubles - 3 x Singles) with mattresses for an extra 3 people.

Just bring your own food and drinks, remember all linen, towels and even soap are provided - with our fully equipped kitchen and laundry, what could be easier.

At "Mansfield", we've brought back the old fashioned country hospitality, all your beds prepared, all linen and towels provided, your welcoming cuppa - the only thing missing is YOU!!!!!

To ensure the comfort and pleasure of all, "Mansfield" remains;

  • Smoke free inside the cottage
  • No Animals or Pets
  • No Motor Bike Riding

"Mansfield" Come Explore & Enjoy
