Commencing after World War II, the Chamber was formed to bring business people together for the benefit of the Shire.
The objective of the Chamber is to provide a forum for the discussion of ideas and to carry out projects that benefit the members and the community. It supports business of all types and size from farmers, to main street business, and from Home based to the largest industrial businesses. In conducting this function the Chamber makes regular representations to Government and industry associations on behalf of its members and has been a driving force in a number of innovative community base projects including the development of tourism related functions, the development and management of the Snowfest Event and regular business skill development seminars and workshops.
